This ethics course is designed to provide a rational framework and methodology for mortgage brokers and loan originators to use in approaching the resolution of ethical problems in the mortgage industry.  Attendees will identify important moral values in the practice of mortgage lending, develop an awareness of how others reflect about ethical problems, understand traditional ethical theory and how to apply it in the context of mortgage lending, and improve their ability to dialogue with others about moral dilemmas and problems.

This is a live, instructor-led course, taught by a philosopher who has been teaching business and professional ethics for over a decade.

Check our schedule for upcoming classes. We offer this class at least once, every month.

This course is approved for mortgage broker and loan originator continuing education credit.

This course is approved for your required first-year renewal ethics course.

"Lots of open talking between the loan originators. Very informative, great topic, great instructor."

"Interactive, thought-provoking, poignant."

"This course provided an excellent forum for discussion regarding the imminent ethical issue in the mortgage industry."

"This was the most interesting of all the continuing education classes I have been to.  I felt that I learned more in this class than in all the others combined.  It is helpful to me to be a participant as opposed to an audience.  THANK YOU!"

"Great class; enjoyed the discussion! I will recommend this class to others."
Cal Peterson
Homeport Mortgage

"Kevin and Jillayne were able to get the whole class involved in the topic."

"Good class! Exercises were well designed to encourage participation."

"I gained valuable insight today. Our discussions enlightened me to other people's ideas and beliefs.  This seminar has given me valuable food for thought."

"Kevin is clearly a wellspring of knowledge.  I understand for the first time the quandary that my entire originator group faces.  I have a much clearer picture of my place and roll in the change process."
Jeffrey Naughton
Northwest Home Mortgage, LLC

"Today, we realized that as an emerging profession, we do not have a mandatory code of ethics and by creating self-disciplinary board like doctors and lawyers, we may be elevated to a higher standard of professionalism."
Kathy Park
Mortgage Unlimited

"I think this class is great.  Kevin and Jillayne are very good as trainers.  Kevin is extremely knowledgeable and brings the subject of ethics down to earth.  Now I can understand the implications of ethics for mortgage brokers." - Linda Cox, Western States Mortgage
